"I was suddenly unable to do the things I once enjoyed, struggling to come to terms with my injury, frustrated and angry”

Bob's life changed completely in 2013 when he fell two stories while shrink wrapping a boat at the marina where he worked. With the help of his family and BIA-MA,he has found ways to enjoy most of the things he used to, just a little differently. The BIA-MA #GivingTuesday Wellness Bag Drive is the best cure for the overconsumption hangover brought on by Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Cyber Monday!

Consider giving back to your community this November! #GivingTuesday is a 24-hour day of giving that will help you refocus on what’s important and support the causes you care about. On Tuesday, November 27, you are invited to connect with BIA-MA. But, to get the ball rolling on the season of giving, we here at the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts kick start our Wellness Bag Drive on November 1 and continue through December 3rd.

Join us this year by donating items that will be distributed to the homeless statewide. The prevalence and risk of brain injury in homeless populations are high. We hope to provide some comfort to those in need this time of year!

Bring unwrapped, new (still packaged, unused) items to any of our three locations by December 3 to be delivered in time for the holidays.

Boxes are available at each of our 3 locations, open Monday through Friday; 9AM – 5PM:
-BIA-MA, 30 Lyman Street, Ste. 10, Westborough, MA 01581
-BIA-MA, 3119 Cranberry Highway, Ste. 5F, East Wareham, MA 02538
-BIA-MA, 180 Elm St., Ste. C, Pittsfield, MA 01201

Other Ways to Give:

Make A Gift – donations of any size help BIA-MA to offer top notch prevention and awareness programing, important educational opportunities, practical legislative advocacy, and helpful resources, information and support statewide for survivors, families, and caregivers.

Double your gift by asking your employer if they have a Matching Gift Program. Make a donation and submit the paperwork to your Human Resources Department. Many companies even match gifts made by spouses and retirees! Our federal tax ID number is 042-753-269.

Want to be more active? Consider hosting a community fundraiser and create your own Classy fundraising page to make it easy. Holidays, birthdays and anniversaries are great opportunities to incorporate your friends and family in your efforts.
