Programs
Since its inception in 1982, BIA-MA has been a leading advocate for providing adequate services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to persons who experience brain injuries and to their families.
Additionally, BIA-MA serves as a clearinghouse for information and resources, actively promotes awareness of preventive measures to reduce the incidence of brain injury, and sponsors educational conferences and training for caregivers, survivors, and medical professionals.

Prevention Programs
Although there is no cure for brain injury, the majority of TBIs are preventable. It is the mission of BIA-MA to educate every man, woman and child in our state about the risks of acquiring a brain injury and the devastating consequences of this tragedy. Our prevention programs include Think A-Head, KEYS (Keep Every Youth Safe), Brains At Risk, Gateway and Falls Prevention. Learn more about our prevention programs here.

Education
BIA-MA is dedicated to educating the public about brain injury, as well as providing the latest information and resources to professionals, medical providers, caregivers, survivors and families through workshops and conferences. Learn more about our education programs here.

BIA-MA has also compiled a series of fact cards on topics including sports concussions, helmets, booster seats and pedestrian safety tips.
